ZEE5 Bangla has unveiled a major line-up of upcoming Bengali content under the theme “Notun Banglar, Notun Golpo” (New Bengal. New Stories.), bringing together returning franchises, new original series, movies, AI-powered stories, animation, kids’ entertainment and live sports.
The new slate puts a strong focus on Bengali storytelling across crime thrillers, romance, comedy and contemporary drama. Lalbazaar 2, Shwetkali 2, Shikarpur 2, Kaalipotka 2 and Mahaproloy are among the major returning titles, while Aloor Dosh, Taarkata, Prem Shots, Osthir, Priyo Bondhu, Bakhtiyar er Swarnamudra, Nari Choritro Bejay Jotil and Nibba Nibbi headline the fresh line-up.

Lalbazaar 2, Shwetkali 2 and Shikarpur 2 Return
Several established ZEE5 Bangla originals are returning with new seasons. Lalbazaar 2, featuring Anirban Bhattacharya and directed by Shayantan Ghoshal, is part of the upcoming slate.
Shwetkali 2 stars Oindrila Sen and Surangana Banerjee under the direction of Sani Ghosh Roy, while Shikarpur 2, directed by Nirjhar, brings Ankush back to the franchise.
Abhirup Ghosh directs Kaalipotka 2, starring Swastika, Shruti, Sheya and Himika.
Another major addition is Mahaproloy, starring Saswata Chatterjee and directed by Raj Chakraborty. The project continues the Proloy franchise.
New ZEE5 Bangla Originals
Alongside its returning franchises, ZEE5 is introducing several new Bengali originals.
Aloor Dosh features Saurav Das, Satyam Bhattacharya and Sandipta and is directed by Joydip Banerjee. Taarkata brings together Vikram Chatterjee, Priyanka Sarkar and Meiyang Chang.

Leading Bengali Production Houses Join the Slate
ZEE5 Bangla has also announced new and continuing collaborations with prominent production houses and creative banners from Bengal.
The line-up includes collaborations with Acropolis Entertainment, Surinder Films, Why So Serious?, Anjan Dutta Productions, Eye Wash Entertainment, Raj Chakraborty Entertainment and Vikram Chatterjee Films, among others.
These partnerships bring established Bengali creative voices together with ZEE5’s expanding original content strategy.
AI-Powered and Animated Stories in Bangla
Beyond conventional movies and series, ZEE5 is expanding its Bangla catalogue with AI-powered and animated storytelling.
Titles planned in Bangla include Garud – Ek Yodha Ki Gatha, Narmada Manasa Sundari, Vikram Betal, Shiv Sati – Ek Anant Prem Kahani, Param Sundari Chandrakanta, Tirupati Balaji, Ram Anjaney Yuddh and Aiyappan.
Kids’ entertainment is also part of the expansion, including Shivlok Ke Kundakka Mandakka.
FIFA, Bundesliga and Coppa Italia for Bengali Football Fans
Live sports forms another part of ZEE5’s growing entertainment offering. The portfolio includes FIFA, Bundesliga and Coppa Italia, providing football audiences in Bengal access to major international sporting action alongside the platform’s movies and original series.
Through “Notun Banglar, Notun Golpo”, ZEE5 is combining popular returning franchises with a substantial collection of new Bengali stories, new creative collaborations and different entertainment formats.
