7 suspects, a tragic Bengali zamindar wedding, and one chilling mystery! Phool Pishi O Edward trailer leaves you guessing till the very end
A lavish zamindar wedding. Seven suspicious characters. One shocking murder. The trailer of Phool Pishi O Edward has finally dropped, pulling audiences into a world soaked in Bengali aristocratic grandeur, hidden motives, dark humour and suspense that refuses to let go.

Directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, the film unfolds against the backdrop of a tragic zamindar wedding where every guest appears suspicious, every conversation feels loaded, and every glance seems to hide a dangerous secret. The trailer plays out like a twisted game of deception, constantly forcing viewers to ask one question, who is the murderer?
Blending mystery with a distinctly Bengali flavour, Phool Pishi O Edward creates an atmosphere that feels haunting, eccentric and wildly entertaining all at once. Dysfunctional relationships, emotionally charged confrontations, bizarre family dynamics and mounting paranoia slowly build into a murder mystery that carefully guards its biggest reveal. What makes the trailer especially gripping is its tonal unpredictability. The story, screenplay and dialogues by Zinia Sen makes one moment feels quirky and darkly comic, the next it slips into psychological tension and complete murder mystery chaos, keeping audiences constantly on edge. The additional screenplay, dialogues and script correction is by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay.
Sharing her thoughts on the film, Raima Sen said, “What I loved most about Phool Pishi O Edward is that every character carries a secret, and the audience keeps changing their suspicions every few minutes. The trailer gives you just enough to pull you into this strange, chaotic world without revealing what’s actually underneath. That unpredictability is what makes the film so exciting.”
Speaking about the film, Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee shared, “With Phool Pishi O Edward, we wanted to create a murder mystery that feels deeply rooted in Bengali culture while still being universally engaging. The zamindar wedding setting gave us the perfect space to combine grandeur, dysfunction, humour, suspense and emotional chaos. Every character has layers, every interaction carries suspicion, and the trailer is only the beginning of the mystery.”
The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast led by Raima Sen and Sohini Sengupta, alongside Arjun Chakraborty, Ananya Chatterjee and debutant Shyamoupti Mudly. The cast further includes Koneenica Bandyopadhyay, Anamika Saha, Shahebb Chattopadhyay, Rajatava Datta, Soumya Mukherjee and Rishav Basu, adding further depth and unpredictability to the mystery.
And just when you think you’ve figured out the killer… the trailer throws another layer of doubt into the mix. The film arrives on 29th May in cinemas.
