About the Story
The show is set in Bareilly and follows the Bacchan family, where jugaad is more than a way of life—it is a necessity. At the centre is Krishna, affectionately known as Bol Bacchan, whose optimism often helps him escape difficult realities. Living alongside him are his brothers Ganga, Satluj, and Mahi, each contributing their own quirks and conflicts to the family dynamic.
Presiding over the household is Ajab Singh, the family’s patriarch, whose unique outlook on life shapes much of the family’s behaviour and decision-making.
The story takes an interesting turn when Sangam enters the family through an unexpected marriage to Krishna. She soon discovers that the Bacchan household is an all-male environment struggling with emotional imbalance and unresolved issues. Her arrival gradually begins to challenge long-standing habits and forces family members to confront realities they have long ignored.
Pravisht Mishra on Playing Krishna
Speaking about his character, Pravisht Mishra shared that Krishna is a lovable dreamer who often softens reality with stories and half-truths. According to the actor, Krishna deeply loves his family but has never truly faced the realities of his own life.
Pravisht added that Sangam becomes a turning point for Krishna because she challenges his delusions and encourages him to confront the truth. The actor believes audiences will enjoy watching Krishna’s journey from avoiding reality to finally facing it head-on.
Ramneek Kataria on Her Role as Sangam
Ramneek Kataria described Sangam’s entry into the Bacchan household as a life-changing experience. While many daughters-in-law are expected to adjust to their new homes, Sangam finds herself navigating a completely different situation in a house filled entirely with men.
The actress said she appreciates how the show highlights the emotional labour women often contribute to families while naturally exploring the dynamics of a woman-less household.
Yashpal Sharma on Ajab Singh
Veteran actor Yashpal Sharma plays Ajab Singh, the unconventional head of the Bacchan family. He describes the character as a man who has been disappointed by life and now chooses to respond to the world with his own unique outlook.
According to Sharma, Ajab Singh is proud, stubborn, and deeply human. The actor believes viewers will enjoy watching the character’s unusual way of handling life’s challenges while bringing plenty of humour to the story.
