Sony SAB’s Yaadein continues to strike an emotional chord with audiences through Dr Dev Mehta’s (Iqbal Khan) deeply moving journey of love, loss, and redemption. After losing eight years of his memory, Dr Dev finds himself grappling not only with a fractured past but also with the consequences of a profession he once mastered but now struggles to keep up with.
In the upcoming episodes, Dr. Vaani’s (Srishti Singh) brother Rajeev’s (Meet Sadhwani) condition worsens after Dr Dev unknowingly gives him a banned medicine for multiple sclerosis, due to a gap in his knowledge caused by his lost memories. The mistake puts Rajeev’s life at risk, leaving Dr. Vaani deeply upset. However, Dr Dev manages to find a crucial clue in time and saves him. Shaken by the incident, Dr Dev decides to update his medical knowledge and prepares for an exam, marking the start of his journey to rebuild his confidence.
As he steps into this new phase, will he be able to reclaim his confidence and find his way back to the doctor he once was?
Talking about the upcoming track, Iqbal Khan shares, “Sometimes life gives you a second chance, but it also tests whether you’re willing to take responsibility for your mistakes. For Dr Dev, this phase is extremely crucial because he realises that good intentions are not enough when you’re a doctor, you need to be updated and aware. What I really like about this track is that instead of breaking down, he chooses to rebuild himself. It takes a lot of courage to take step back. Going back to studying after everything he has been through is not easy, but that’s what makes his journey so real. It’s about accepting your flaws and still choosing to move forward.”
