Sony SAB’s Ganesh Kartikey brings alive timeless stories of devotion, family, and divine relationships through the journey of the Shiv Parivaar. In the current track, the story focuses on Goddess Parvati (Shrenu Parikh) as she discovers her true identity as the reincarnation of Devi Sati and moves closer to her destined union with Mahadev (Avinesh Rekhi). Amid this, Tarakasur (Amir Dalvi) continues to create obstacles in her path, testing her devotion and strength. Adding an emotional layer to this journey is the entry of Ganga, Goddess Parvati’s older sister, played by Kirti Choudhary, whose personal feelings for Mahadev bring a heartfelt conflict into the narrative.
Portrayed as Devi Parvati’s elder sister, Ganga is graceful, compassionate, and deeply devoted. She harbours feelings for Mahadev and dreams of marrying him, but her world shifts when she learns about Parvati’s past life and her divine connection with him. Choosing love over desire, Ganga steps back, embracing a path of quiet sacrifice for her sister’s destiny. Amid this emotional journey, the story also sees Tarakasur creating obstacles in Parvati’s path, testing her strength and devotion, as she moves closer to her union with Mahadev.
Speaking about stepping into the role, Kirti Choudhary shared, “I remember one of the first scenes I shot where Ganga realises that Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiv are destined to be together, and there was this quiet moment where she has to hold back everything she feels. That day stayed with me because it wasn’t about dramatic expressions, it was about what you don’t say. We did a couple of takes, and each time I felt that lump in my throat, thinking about how difficult it must be to let go of something you truly wish for. Ganga’s love is pure, but her strength lies in stepping aside with grace, and that emotional balance is what made this journey so special for me.”
