The knockout stage of the Indian Premier League continues today as Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match at 7:30 PM. The high-voltage clash will decide which team stays alive in the tournament and which side gets eliminated from the playoff race.
SRH captain Pat Cummins believes his side can still go all the way despite needing three consecutive wins to lift the IPL trophy this season.
“We have got to win three in a row to win it. We’ve won more than that throughout the season. We won five in a row at one stage, so it’s possible,” said Cummins while speaking ahead of the playoffs.

Cummins also admitted that Rajasthan Royals youngster Vaibhav Suryavanshi remains one of the biggest danger players in the RR lineup after his sensational performances this season.

The SRH skipper revealed that although Vaibhav scored a century against them previously, there were phases where Hyderabad managed to keep him quiet with disciplined bowling. SRH are now expected to arrive with more detailed strategies to control the aggressive youngster in tonight’s Eliminator.
Another major strength for Hyderabad this season has been the form of Heinrich Klaasen. Cummins praised the explosive batter for consistently changing games in the middle overs and called him one of the biggest reasons behind SRH’s successful campaign.
According to Cummins, Klaasen has elevated his game to another level this season with impactful innings on difficult wickets and under pressure situations.
Even though Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals twice during the league stage, Cummins believes playoff cricket starts from zero and both teams will have to handle pressure differently tonight.
For Rajasthan Royals, the focus will once again be on Vaibhav Suryavanshi, while players like Jofra Archer and Yashasvi Jaiswal could play key roles if RR want to continue their IPL 2026 journey.
The winner of tonight’s Eliminator will move one step closer to the IPL Final, while the losing side’s campaign will officially come to an end.
