Gaatchora – The Original Bengali Serial
Gaatchora is the original Bengali television series produced by Snigdha Basu and Sani Ghose Ray under the banner of Acropoliis Entertainment for Star Jalsha.
The serial premiered on 20 December 2021 and concluded after completing 676 episodes. Soumen Haldar directed the series, which became one of the notable fiction titles on Star Jalsha during its run.
The original series featured Gourab Chatterjee, Solanki Roy, Anindya Chatterjee, Shreema Bhattacharjee, Riaz Laskar, Anushka Goswami, Katha Chakraborty and Arya Dasgupta in prominent roles.
Episodes of the series were originally available for online streaming through Disney+ Hotstar.
Teri Meri Doriyaann – Hindi Remake
Teri Meri Doriyaann is the Hindi adaptation of Gaatchora, telecast on Star Plus.
The serial premiered on 4 January and featured Vijayendra Kumeria and Himanshi Parashar in the principal roles. Tushar Dhembla, Roopam Sharma, Jatin Arora and Prachi Hadaa were among the other prominent members of the cast.
Vijayendra Kumeria played Angad Singh Brar, while Himanshi Parashar appeared as Sahiba Kaur Monga.
Patharamattu – Malayalam Remake
Patharamattu is the Malayalam adaptation of Gaatchora, telecast on Asianet. The family drama became one of the channel’s popular programmes and secured strong positions on the Malayalam television TRP charts.
The cast includes Neena Kurup, Lakshmi Keerthana, Vishnu Balakrishnan, Anusha Aravindakshan, Akash Murali and Gopika Kukku.
Like the other adaptations, Patharamattu takes the basic premise of the Bengali original and presents it within a setting designed for Malayalam television audiences.
Brahmamudi – Telugu Remake
Brahmamudi is the Telugu adaptation of Gaatchora and is telecast on Star Maa.
The serial aired from Monday to Saturday at 7:30 PM and features Maanas Nagulapalli, Deepika Rangaraju, Srikar Krishna, Kiran Kanth, Hamida Khatoon, Nainisha Rai, Priya Siva and Madhuri Madhu in prominent roles.
The Telugu adaptation became another important regional version of the successful Bengali format.
Aaha Kalyanam – Tamil Remake
Aaha Kalyanam is the Tamil adaptation of Gaatchora, launched on Star Vijay on 20 March.
The cast includes Mounika, Vikram Shri, Akshaya Kandamuthan, Gayathri Sri, Vibish Aswanth, RG Ram and Bhavya Sree.
Episodes of the serial were also originally made available online through Disney+ Hotstar.
Katheyondu Shuruvagide – Kannada Remake
Katheyondu Shuruvagide brought the Gaatchora storyline to Kannada television through Star Suvarna.
Akshata Deshpande plays Kriti in the serial. The supporting cast includes Sundar Sri, Sahana, Abhinaya, Bhavani, Sujata Akshaya, Sujay, Bhavish and Inchara Joshi.
The Kannada version follows the central relationship and family-drama elements that made the original Bengali series popular.
Laxmichya Paulanni – Marathi Remake
Laxmichya Paulanni is the Marathi adaptation of Gaatchora. The serial was scheduled to launch on Star Pravah on 20 November at 9:30 PM, extending the franchise into the Marathi television market.
With Laxmichya Paulanni, the story of Gaatchora expanded into another major regional market after successful adaptations across Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada television.
