Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi chronicles the journey of Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan), a selfless young girl who takes on the responsibility of parenting her siblings. As she works towards expanding her café business by starting a food delivery service, her husband Sanjay (Rishi Saxena) gifts her a scooty to help her deliver food more efficiently.
Sumbul recently shot a scene where she had to ride a scooty, something she hadn’t done in years. The moment instantly brought back flashes of her childhood. The actress shared that she first learnt how to ride a scooty at the age of 13 when her cousin sister taught her. Years later, she briefly rode a friend’s scooty, but it had still been a long time since she had been on one. Sitting on the scooty during the shoot reminded her of those early, innocent days and the excitement of learning something new, making the scene unexpectedly nostalgic.
Speaking about the experience, Sumbul said, “It’s interesting how a simple scene can take you back in time. I still clearly remember how excited and slightly nervous I was when I first learnt how to ride a scooty. My cousin sister taught me when I was 13, and I even remember both of us falling while learning (laughs). I haven’t taken a ride on a scooty in a long time, so the moment I sat on one during the shoot of the sequence in Itti Si Khushi, I felt like I was right back to those initial years. It was like reliving a piece of my journey all over again. It’s beautiful how certain moments in life remind you where you started and how far you’ve come.”
