SoBo Mumbai Falcons concluded their Player Auction for Season 4 of the T20 Mumbai League by retaining their icon player and captain Shreyas Iyer for ₹22 lakhs. They also fully utilised all three Right to Match (RTM) cards to assemble a balanced 17-member squad with depth across departments.
The team approached the auction with a clear strategy centred on continuity, role clarity and retaining proven performers. All three RTM cards were deployed to preserve the core of the squad, underlining a focused and structured approach to team building.

Among these was Akash Parkar who was secured at a ₹12 lakh bid following a strong Season 3 campaign in which he delivered in key moments, including a decisive Super Over performance and an unbeaten knock in a successful chase. As an all-rounder, his contributions with both batting and bowling under pressure were central to the Falcons’ run to the semi-finals last season. The RTM maintains continuity in a role that has consistently delivered for the side.

The franchise also matched bids for Ishan Mulchandani (₹8.50 lakh) and Prathamesh Dake (₹3.25 lakh). Mulchandani’s ability to accelerate the innings and Dake’s effectiveness with the new ball add balance and tactical flexibility to the squad. Among notable retentions, Angkrish Raghuvanshi was retained at ₹15.40 lakh, forming a strong top order pairing. Harsh Aghav, retained at ₹5.78 lakh, adds stability and experience through the middle order.
The SoBo Mumbai Falcons completed their squad with targeted additions across departments, with a clear emphasis on strengthening their bowling unit. Siddharth Raut, among the leading wicket-takers, and Yash Dicholkar, who produced crucial breakthroughs last season, highlight the side’s wicket-taking capability – a key element of their overall approach.
