Toxic gets a big update on Yash’s birthday, teaser released showcasing Yash’s powerful avatar in The film. Daddy’s Home! — The makers of ‘Toxic’ have released a teaser showcasing Raya’s powerful avatar on Yash‘s birthday. The makers have described Raya’s arrival as a powerful and bold cinematic statement, saying, “This is not a celebratory teaser, it’s a warning.” Yash’s next film is set to release four years after the blockbuster success of KGF 2.
The teaser, which begins by shattering the silence of a graveyard, cuts through gunfire and riots, bringing Raya out from the midst of the smoke. Tommy gun in hand, fearlessness on his face — he becomes the one in control of the moment. Raya’s every step is a sign of power.
He is not a recognition seeker — he is a force. When Toxic first introduced itself to the world, Yash took a back seat and brought the film’s female characters – Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria – to the forefront. That was the first indication that Toxic was an ensemble narrative, where the story and characters took precedence. Now, with Raya also making her debut as the central force of that world, fans’ expectations for Toxic have increased tenfold.
As an actor who is not afraid to take risks, Yash has already carved out a niche for himself in Indian cinema. His journey has seen projects that were once considered bold decisions turn into historic successes. Toxic continues that tradition. As an actor, co-writer and co-producer, Yash is once again pushing the boundaries with this film. He embraces experimentation with his dark, complex and global storytelling as Raya. Following the first teaser released on his birthday last year, the video released now takes the world of Toxic to a whole new level. Written by Yash and Geethu Mohandas, the film, directed by Geethu Mohandas, has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. Dubbed in several languages including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, the film is aimed at a global audience. The film also has a strong technical team. National Award winner Rajeev Ravi (cinematography), Ravi Basrur (music), Ujjwal Kulkarni (editing), and T.P. Abid (production design).
The action sequences are being handled by Hollywood action director J.J. Perry (John Wick) and National Award winners Anpariv and Kecha Khamphaakdi. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic will be released in theaters worldwide on March 19, 2026
