Sony SAB’s Itti Si Khushi follows the journey of Anvita (Sumbul Touqeer Khan) and Virat (Rajat Verma) as they navigate love, relationships, and the challenges that come with a new phase in their lives. Just as their journey begins to find stability, the narrative takes a compelling turn with the entry of seasoned actor Manish Khanna, who essays the complex role of Mr. Yash Sethi.
Yash Sethi is a 45-year-old, self-made businessman who commands attention the moment he walks into a room. A man shaped by ambition and experience, he carries an air of authority, composure and quiet intensity. However, beneath this polished exterior lies a deeply guarded and emotionally isolated individual, grappling with unresolved turmoil and a short temper that often surfaces at the most unexpected moments. His marriage to Sara Sethi (Bhumika Gurung) is far from ideal – it is cold, distant and layered with unspoken resentment. While on the surface it appears strained, the reality is far more complex. Sara subtly manipulates situations to portray herself as the victim, often using Yash’s short temper to her advantage, especially in front of Virat and Anvita while the reality of their relationship remains far more layered and unsettling.

Sharing his excitement and experience of joining the show, Manish Khanna said, “When I first read about Yash Sethi, what stayed with me was the contrast he carries. On the outside, he’s a composed, successful man who seems to have everything in control, but as I started exploring him, I realised how much emotions he’s holding back within. There’s quiet loneliness and a constant emotional undercurrent that doesn’t always show. While shooting, there are moments where even a pause or a look says more than the dialogue, and that’s been fascinating to play. His equation with Sara, too, keeps you on edge because it’s never as simple as it appears. That unpredictability is what makes portraying Yash such an engaging experience.”
