Actor Shruhad Goswami Surprises Commuters with a Unique Laalo-Themed Auto Ride
In the frantic rush of Mumbai, it’s easy to feel “boxed in” by the pressures of daily life. To mark the World Television Premiere of the blockbuster Laalo on May 17 at 1 PM, Sony MAX launched a simple yet meaningful on-ground initiative that turned the humble autorickshaw ride into a medium for reflection and upliftment.

Activated around a Krishna Temple in Mumbai, the initiative featured a specially branded autorickshaw designed as a “comfort zone” on wheels. Passengers experienced shaded rides accompanied by a curated audio journey featuring gentle reflections on hope, inner strength, and resilience — mirroring the emotional soul of the film.
During the journey in the Laalo-themed auto driven by actor Shruhad Goswami, passengers were welcomed with calming messages designed to create small moments of pause and comfort amidst the rush of everyday life. The experience was intentionally kept warm, simple, and authentic, encouraging commuters to slow down briefly and leave feeling lighter and uplifted.
The initiative sparked heartfelt moments of surprise, warmth, and introspection, forging an organic emotional bond with audiences while bringing the spirit of the film alive beyond the television screen.
“Through this initiative, we aimed to take the emotional soul of Laalo beyond the screen and into the everyday lives of our viewers. Amid hectic schedules and daily pressures, a simple auto ride became a moment of comfort, reflection, and calm. At Sony MAX, we continuously strive to create storytelling experiences that build deeper emotional connections and stay with audiences long after the film ends.”
With its engaging narrative and memorable characters, Laalo — a record-breaking Gujarati blockbuster — offers an entertaining and emotionally uplifting story for audiences of all ages. The film stars Karan Joshi as Lalji Dhansukh Parmar, a humble rickshaw driver whose life takes an unexpected emotional turn, alongside Reeva Rachh as Tulsi, Shruhad Goswami as Lord Krishna and Mishty Kadecha as Khushi. Directed by Ankit Sakhiya, the film captures a deeply human journey of hope, purpose and transformation with warmth and sincerity.
Mark your calendars: Sunday, 17th May, 1 PM on Sony MAX
