Chandhira Nandhini Serial On Vijay TV Every Monday to Saturday at 7.30 PM
Star Vijay is all set to air a new Historical Drama series- Chandhra Nandhini. The serial is based on the life of the King Chandhragupta Maurya and his wife Nandhini. Chandhragupta Maurya is one of the major emperors in ancient India. It will be aired every Monday to Friday from October 31st at 7.30 PM onwards. During Chandragupta”s time Mahapadma”s son Dhana Nanda ruled Patliaputra. According to the serial, Nandhini is the daughter of Dhana Nanda though in reality Chandragupta”s wife Durdhara is believed to be the daughter of his maternal uncle.
Story
It is believed that Chandragupta Maurya killed Dhana Nanda to acquire his kingdom with the help of Chanakya.Though it is highly debatable, some people believe he even married Dhana Nanda”s daughter. So, the serial Chandra-Nandhini focuses a deep and intense story between Chandragupta Maurya and the princess, whom he marries later after defeating her father Dhana Nanda. It”s a story on Mauryan period.
Cast and Crew
Nandhini in the Chandhira Nandhini serial is no ordinary princess. She, in fact, is a warrior princess who grows up learning war tactics right from her childhood. However, things take a drastic turn when Chandragupta comes and dethrones her father from the throne. Her world is shattered as she sees her relatives dying at the hands of their enemy who later also becomes her husband. So expect lot of fights and martial arts from Shweta Basu Prasad who plays the role of the warrior princess.
Chandhragupta Maurya is played by popular television actor Rajat Tokas, he previously portrayed the role of emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar serial. The serial is produced by Ekta kapoor”s Balaji Telefilms and Directed by Ranjan Kumar Singh. Princess Nandhini hates Chandhragupta as he killed her family and happiness. He is her biggest enemy yet the two marry as part of the war treaty.
