V Ravichandaran is back on the big screen with his mesmerizing performance as 61-year-old young man in the film Apoorva . Is supposed to be a love story between an older man and a younger woman, in this case 61 and 19 respectively. An unconventional love story between two people who are generations apart. The story depicts the journey of a 61-year-old and a 19-year-old who end up spending a few tense hours of their life in a lift, where they are hiding from a terror attack in a mall. There is a host emotion, which even translates to love at a point. But, can this love between two people of different age groups last beyond these tense moments”.

The film has interesting cameos by many stars. Sudeep and P Ravi Shankar are seen briefly, but their voices, along with Prakash Rai’s, play an important part through the course of the film. The audio of the film was released on Valentine’s Day. Each song from Apoorva has been launched by celebrities including Shivarajkumar, Ramesh Aravind, Upendra, Darshan, Puneeth Rajkumar, Ganesh and Yash. Apporva music was a musical treat by Ravichandra to all his fans and romantic couples to celebrate their love on Valentine’s day.

Apoorva, under the guise of being a ‘different’ film, doesn’t manage to engage its audience. Apart from the fact that the ‘love story’ itself is unconvincing, the barrage of sermons on life on black screen inserts/intertitles every two seconds are aggravating. Repeated shots of the close-up of eyes, hair flying followed by more close-ups and hair flying don’t make things better, either. One of the most unconventional love story from the actor and filmmaker, V Ravichandran to all his fans across the globe.

For the first time in Kannada Television, Udaya Television Premier Movie “Apoorva” is been telecasted on Sunday (10.09) 6PM onwards.
