The stakes on Wheel of Fortune reached a comical peak during an episode, as host Akshay Kumar found himself entangled in a high-tension bet with contestant Aastha. Akshay Kumar proposed to Aastha in order for her to seek his help in a particular round.
As the game progressed, contestant Aastha, playing alongside Munisha and Robin, felt the pressure of the wheel. As it was her turn to spin the wheel, she sought help from Akshay by telling him “Aap heen Madat kardo”. Seizing the opportunity with mischief, Akshay proposed an offer to Aastha. Akshay proposes “Agar main wheel spin karta hoon, aapki madat karne ke liye, aur agar aisa hua ki aap ka wheel saap (snake) mein land hojaye toh main aapko das hazaar (₹10,000) dunga, lekin agar aisa nahi hua toh aap mujhe kya deh sakti hain?”
Aastha, giving it a thought, immediately responds to Akshay in Wheel of Fortune by saying “Main aap ko ek hazar ek sau (₹1,100) dungi.” With the bet locked in, Akshay took control of the wheel. To everyone’s surprise and Aastha’s delight, the wheel skipped past the “Snake” and landed on a massive ₹35,000. Akshay, realizing he had technically “won” the but only stood to gain a fraction of the prize value, jokingly shouted “₹1,100!” at the top of his lungs.
While Aastha walked away with a significant boost to her prize pool, Akshay walked away with the title of the best negotiator.
