Sony Sports Network announces the broadcast of The Torchbearers show narrating the stories of athletes ahead of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. After the successful run of the show before the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 which showcased the journey of successful Olympians like Neeraj Chopra, the second edition will be a part of the build-up to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. All the episodes of the show will be broadcast on SONY TEN 1 & SONY TEN 3 channels as well as on its on-demand OTT platform SonyLIV from 18th to 27th July 2022 at 7:00 pm IST.
Torchbearers Show
The eight-part show will kickstart with Sports Minister Mr. Anurag Thakur in conversation with Olympian Lovlina Borgohain and Nikhat Zareen. Apart from this, other prominent athletes including Hima Das, Lakshya Sen, Dutee Chand, Noah Nirmal Tom, Dhanalaxmi, Srabani Nanda, and Lakshya Sen, among others will also feature on the show. Some of the players of the Indian Hockey team like Manpreet Singh and PR Sreejesh will also be a part of the episode. Each episode will be of 30 minutes each and will reflect the journey of the athlete, their struggles, and success story.
