She added, “Growing up, I was never restricted from pursuing my passions. I had a supportive family that encouraged me to follow my interests and dreams. I’ve always believed that achieving your goals is essential, and with the backing of loved ones, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.”
Sangita Ghosh plays Saroj, the stepmother of the lead character Gagan (Sahil Uppal) in Sun Neo’s Saajha Sindoor. Her character is quite negative, a stark contrast to her nurturing and positive real-life personality.
Sharing her initial mixed feelings about joining the show, Sangita revealed, “When I was told that I had to play an antagonist, I was in two minds. There was a lot of back and forth, but again, just because it was a negative role was not the reason, but a lot of things, like thinking about my daughter, I had to leave her in Jaipur and travel to Mumbai.
I wanted the role to be worth it for me to leave my daughter and travel. I had immense trust in the team and so I went along.”
