Ram Navami, the auspicious festival celebrating the birth of Lord Ram, is a time of devotion, righteousness, and spiritual reflection. Devotees across the country mark the occasion with prayers, recitation of the Ramayana, bhajans, and by following traditional rituals that symbolize truth and virtue. Even amidst demanding shoot schedules, &TV artists ensure they stay rooted in their traditions and celebrate the festival with full devotion. Sharing how they are observing Ram Navami this year while continuing their shoots are Paras Arora (Jeetu in Gharwali Pedwali) and Saanand Verma (Anokhe Lal Saxena in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0).

Paras Arora, who plays Jeetu in &TV’s Gharwali Pedwali, shares, “Ram Navami has always held a very special place in my heart. Growing up, it was one of the festivals my family celebrated with great devotion. I still remember how my mother would wake up early, decorate the temple at home with flowers, and prepare prasad while Ram bhajans played in the background. As kids, we would eagerly wait for the aarti and, of course, the delicious prasad that followed. This year, even though I am occupied with long shooting hours, I have made it a point to begin my day with a small puja and chant a few verses from the Ramayana before heading to the set.

I also try to maintain a sattvic diet and keep my meals light during the day. The production team has been very supportive, giving me a few quiet moments for prayer. Even on set, I carry fruits and simple homemade food. Celebrating Ram Navami reminds me of the values of patience, humility, and righteousness that Lord Ram stood for, and I try to imbibe those in my daily life.” Saanand Verma, who plays Anokhe Lal Saxena in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0, adds, “For me, Ram Navami is not just a festival, but an emotion deeply rooted in childhood memories.

Back in the day, our entire neighborhood would come together to organize Ramayan path and ‘Choti Si Jhanki’ of Lord Ram’s birth. I fondly remember participating in those plays and feeling a sense of joy and pride. Even today, I try to relive those moments in my own way. Despite a packed shooting schedule this year, I observe the day with full devotion. I start my morning with prayers and recite the Ram Raksha Stotra whenever I get time between scenes. I also make sure to visit a nearby temple either early morning or after pack-up. Food-wise, I prefer simple, light meals and sometimes even observe a partial fast. This year, I plan to celebrate on set with my co-actors by sharing prasad and spreading festive cheer. Festivals like Ram Navami remind us to stay grounded, uphold values, and remain connected to our roots, no matter how busy life gets.”
