Zee Kannada has firmly established itself as the number one channel after winning the hearts of viewers with its diverse serials and grand reality shows. The channel is now gearing up for the launch of the new fiction show, Annayya. This fascinating story, starring Nagendra Sha, Nisha Ravikrishnan, Vikas Uthayya, and many others, will air from Monday, August 12. The show is produced by Pramod Shetty and Suprita Shetty under their banner, Shive Studios.
Zee Kannada’s upcoming show, ‘Annayya’, tells the inspiring story of Shivanna, played by the talented, Vikash Uthaiah. Shivanna is the eldest brother in a middle-class family who cares for his four younger sisters like a mother. He always thinks about their education and marriage while working at a tiny grocery store and having a happy life. A devout follower of Makkalamma, Annayya’s story will also delve into village politics, and the fervour of local festivals, giving the story the right amount of twist.

Synopsis
The show also depicts a fight between two families, Shivanna’s on one side and Vishakaro Veerabhadra’s on the other. The story takes an intriguing turn when Parvati, the daughter of Saubhagya and Veerabhadra’s first wife, enters Shivanna’s life. Parvati, who believes that education is everything, falls for the ignorant Shivanna.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of the Mysore region, Annayya brings a perfect blend of tradition, familial love, and the charm of village life. Nagendra Sha, who played Hanumantu in the show ‘Paaru,’ takes on a completely different role here. Nisha Ravikrishnan, who shined as Amulya in the serial ‘Gattimela,’ returns in a unique character. In addition, the show will feature an experienced cast of theatre performers.
Zee Kannada Schedule Change
The story of Shivanna, Parvati, and the four sisters will air every Monday to Friday at 7:30 p.m. Viewers favourite show ‘Puttakkana Makkalu,’ which formerly aired at 7:30 PM, will now be shifted to 6:30 PM, while ‘Shreerasthu Shubhamasthu‘ will air at 6:00 PM.
