This series, directed by Nicholas Kharkongor and produced by Babita Ashiwal under the Eunoia Films banner, delves into the unique relationship between a single mother and her 19-year-old son. The narrative emphasizes the themes of friendship, trust, and the freedom to uplift one another, showcasing a bond that is both heartwarming and relatable.
The writing duo of Ravinder Randhawa and Sumrit Shahi brings this story to life, featuring a talented cast that includes Mona Singh, Mihir Ahuja, Angira Dhar, and Ranveer Brar. At the center of the story is Agastya, a math whiz in his late teens, portrayed by Mihir Ahuja. He views life through the lens of numbers and algorithms, believing that every challenge has a logical answer—even when it comes to finding a partner for his mother, Vinita, played by Mona Singh. This leads to the creation of Project Mom: Equation ya Emotion?, a plan that evolves into a journey where logic meets emotion, filled with unexpected twists and the unpredictability of life. With a blend of humor and mathematical insights, Maa Ka Sum offers a fresh perspective on the mother-son dynamic, capturing the nuances of their relationship in a way that resonates deeply with viewers.
