Critically Acclaimed Trushna Bags Six Awards at the 33rd Odisha State Film Awards 2021
AAO NXT Presents Trushna , A Poignant Anthology Exploring the Dreams and Desperation of Creators, Streaming from July 24
AAO NXT, Eastern India’s premier regional OTT platform, is all set to release a much-anticipated Odia film Trushna on 24th July 2025. Written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Suresh Patnaik and produced by Naveen Bhandari of Amara Studios, Trushna is a stirring drama that unpacks the emotional journey of artists battling between dreams and reality.
Set against the backdrop of a society obsessed with material success, Trushna tells the stories of four individuals who chase creative fulfilment amidst personal and societal challenges. The anthology format offers an intimate lens into their lives—filled with hope, heartache, and the unrelenting desire to express.
The film stars Suresh Patnaik, Sailendra Samantaray, Jyoti Prakash Panda, Abhishek Giri, Suryamayee Mahapatra, Lipsa Mishra, and others. The soulful music of the film is helmed by Amara Music, promising an emotionally resonant experience that complements the storytelling.
Trushna has also garnered critical acclaim, winning six awards at the 33rd Odisha State Film Awards 2021. The film took home top honors including Best Director, Best Music Director, Best Singer (Male), Best Costume, Best Supporting Actor (Male), and Best Film for Wholesome Entertainment. These accolades underscore the film’s powerful narrative, exceptional performances, and artistic integrity.
