Thenpaandi Singam tamil serial is based on a true story, Marudhu Pandiyar brothers. Periya Marudhu and Chinna Marudhu ruled Sivagangai of Tamilnadu. Marudhu Pandiyar brothers were the first to issue a proclamation of independence from the colonial British rule from Trichy Thiruvarangam Temple. This serial brings the story of these two brothers.
