Star Network’s Kannada General Entertainment Channel Suvarna announces the 1st edition of its Parivaar Awards these awards are exclusively for the shows that air on Suvarna.The on ground event will be held on September 15th 2012. “Sunfeast is the title sponsor of the 1st Suvarna Parivaar awards”.

With a stupendous success in fiction & non-fiction for over 4 years Suvarna has planned the inaugural Parivaar awards ceremony, this be a grand celebration to showcase the spirit of Suvarna – a channel that has brought fresh and unique concepts which sums up the ethos, culture & traditions of Karnataka and to salute its Small Screen Stars.

Sunfeast Suvarna Parivaar Awards has 33 different categories highlighting not just individual characters but relationships within the Suvarna family. Some of the award categories include Best Hiriya Sadasya, Best Appa (Father), Best Amma (Mother), Best Magalu (Daughter), Best Child Artist, Best Hosa Sadasya (New Member), etc. For Non fiction shows the Sunfeast Suvarna Parivaar awards has categories like the Best Anchor, Best Reality Show, etc.

There are awards in Favorite Category also which will be based on audience vote the favorite category awards include  Favorite Serial, Favorite Comedian, Favorite Actor, Favorite Actress, Favorite Reality show & Favorite Anchor. These will be chosen based on SMS & on ground voting, In order to collect the viewer’s votes a mobile van has gone across the state covering prominent cities like Bangalore, Mysore, Hassan, Hubli- Dharwad, Belgaum, Hospet, Gadag, Davangere & many more.
