Star network’s Kannada general entertainment channel Suvarna’s popular talent hunt show ‘Idea Star Singer’ Grand Finale’ episode aired on June 8 th , Sunday, from evening 6 PM on your favourite channel Suvarna. Suvarna Star Singer 2014 Winner Is Ashwin Prabhu

Star Singer – As the name suggests is a title given to the young talented singer who performs exceptionally in the show. The grand finale stage was preceded by the pride of South India, Nightingale S Janaki whose gracious presence elevated the event to another level. She presented the winner’s title, shared her experiences in the film industry, sang her superhit songs, sang like a small kid and she even sang a Japanese song which floored one and all in the set. Her talent, energy, enthusiasm showed why she has been so successful in all the languages.

Star Singer started with 16 contestants and 1 singer had come in through a wild card entry. Out of the 17 singers, only 3 singers could reach the Grand finale stage. Masala Manju, Ganesh and Ashwin Prabhu were the finalists. These 3 singers had 3 different challenges in the finale. The winner Ashwin Prabhu got the Star Singer title and also Rs 5 Lakh prize money.

The success of this musical journey was mainly because of the judge of the show Mr Vijay Prakash and voice trainer Mr Giridhar Divan, the music troupe. The livewires of the show, the anchors, Niranjan Deshpande and Kavya Shastri were at their usual best in the finale as well.
